Pioneering the wine growing region of the upper Yarra Valley, today Oakridge is an award winning winery complete with a one-hat restaurant and an internationally recognised name. Oakridge wines can be found on restaurant menus, in bottle shops and for purchase online, but there is no better place to taste than at our home in the heart of the Yarra Valley; an hour’s drive from Melbourne, in Coldstream off the Maroondah Highway.
Oakridge had one thing in mind when it came to their social media management, and that was to sell more wine. Oakridge already had the attention of the more wine educated audience, they wanted to engage more with a new demographic who were about experience seeking and who happened to enjoy wine. Yak Creative was engaged to increase follower numbers to 10K organically, lift engagement, bring new concepts and ideas to the table and ultimately give more people the opportunity and desire to buy wine, book events and become wine club members.
We are thrilled to say that we reached the 10K Instagram follower goal in less time than expected and achieed this almost entrely organically. The level of engagement has increased by almost 10% per post and EDM’s have had an increased open rate. By introducing the use of web-links and profile links we have sent more than 500 potential purchasers to the online store or wine club page. Oakridge wines now has a consistent and attractive Instagram page which is well received and engaged with by the wine community.
